Privacy policy
Effective November 4, 2026
1. About this policy
MvpGrow Inc., doing business as AskAboutUs (“AskAboutUs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain information when you visit our website, create an account, use our service, or interact with an AskAboutUs button on a customer website.
A customer controls the prompt, placement, and page rules for the button on its website. Contact that customer if you have questions about its website or privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, sign-in provider, authentication records, and workspace membership.
- Workspace and site information: organization name, website domains, prompts, button labels and colors, page rules, and installation status.
- Button analytics: deduplicated impressions, clicks, the current page path, event time, and aggregated performance metrics. The embed does not set a cookie or create a persistent visitor identifier.
- Google Analytics information: if a workspace administrator connects GA4, we receive read-only reporting data and an OAuth refresh token. We do not change your Google Analytics property.
- Billing information: plan, subscription status, usage allowance, billing contact details, tax information, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and payment status. Stripe processes payment card and wallet details; AskAboutUs does not store full card numbers.
- Technical and support information: error reports and messages you send us. We process the request origin and user agent transiently to validate button events and filter obvious automated traffic. We do not retain visitor IP addresses, device or browser details, or user agents as button analytics.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide accounts, workspaces, buttons, analytics, and customer support;
- authenticate users and protect the service from fraud, abuse, and security threats;
- measure usage, enforce plan limits, process payments, and calculate taxes;
- send service, billing, security, and usage-limit notices;
- diagnose errors and improve the reliability and usability of AskAboutUs; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
4. Cookies and similar technology
Our application may use cookies or browser storage to keep you signed in, preserve security settings, and remember product preferences. The AskAboutUs button embedded on customer websites does not set cookies. A customer website may use its own cookies under that customer’s privacy policy.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us operate AskAboutUs. These providers include Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, Supabase for authentication and data storage, Stripe for billing and tax services, Resend for transactional email, and Google when you enable a Google integration. They may process information only for the services they provide to us and under their own applicable terms.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data retention
We keep account, workspace, and billing records while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, tax, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes. We retain raw button impression and click events for up to seven days and daily aggregates for up to twenty-five months.
If paid Google Analytics access ends, we suspend syncing and retain the encrypted OAuth refresh token for up to 90 days so you can restore the integration. We then delete the token. Disconnecting Google Analytics may delete it sooner. Backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle completes.
7. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards required by applicable law.
8. Your choices and rights
You may update account and workspace information in the application, disconnect Google Analytics, or ask us to access, correct, export, or delete personal information. Your location may give you additional rights, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Children
AskAboutUs is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide notice through the service or by email when required.
